Spain has a varied and often stylish Cuisine. Tourists will often find that each local town produces it's own speciality dish or meal.
The most famous dishes in Spain are La Paella, El Jamon Serrano, great Spanish Ham, El Gazpacho, a cold vegetable soup, and La Tortilla, a Spanish Omelette.
Spain is well known for it's use of Olive Oil in cooking. Olive oil is thought to decrease the risk of heart disease by improving our digestive system and blood circulation, which is mainly due to its high vitamin content.
Seafood is very common and popular, especially in the central regions where there are daily deliveries of fresh fish and shellfish.
Tapas are also eaten all over Spain. Tapas can be either a hot or cold snack, very popular at lunchtimes and with a drink of wine or beer, which gives you the opportunity to sample many of the foods that Spain's cuisine is known for. These include a selection of Meats, cheeses, olives, prawns, chicken, spicy sausage and eggs etc.
