Bamham Farm Cottages, situated near Launceston on the Cornwall / Devon border, your first stop for holiday cottages in Cornwall. ALL COTTAGES ARE NOW RATED 4 STAR BY THE ENGLISH TOURISM COUNCIL
The 8 individual cottages are completely self contained, carpeted and tiled throughout and are fully equipped with everything necessary for an enjoyable self catering holiday. All cottages have * A bedside clock radio * A hairdryer * A CD Radio *A Tourist Information folder describing local places of interest, restaurants, pubs etc. * A Folder detailing walks in the area and National Trust Coastal Walks.
We have 25 years of experience in converting and continually developing our old farm buildings and our old farm house which has resulted in comfortable high quality Cornish Holiday Cottages.
We have endeavoured to maintain the character of the holiday cottages whilst providing every amenity for your cottage holiday in Cornwall. Our extensive on site leisure facilities (including a large heated indoor swimming pool) and an ideal location, makes for the perfect holiday. Rarely will you find a small group of cottages with so much to offer, and children are most welcome

Less than 20 miles by quiet country roads, you are on the rugged north Cornish coast, with its beautiful hidden coves and finest beaches imaginable, from Bude to Padstow the entire coastline is as dramatic as it is beautiful. Among the most popular places to visit are Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Tintagel. This coastline is wonderfully under populated and is ideal for walking, surfing or just lying on the beach.

Golf Facilities
For those who enjoy sports, Launceston has a leisure centre with squash courts, gymnasium and outdoor tennis courts, we also have 2 golf courses within 3 miles. Horse riding is just half a mile away and anglers can choose sea, reservoir and coarse fishing within a radius of 25 miles. Roadford lake only 6 miles away has canoe, dinghy and windsurfing facilities as well as fishing
Beaches / Coast
The closest beaches are about 16- 20 miles on the North Cornwall coast ie Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay, Bude, Trebarwith Strand, Bossiney & Boscastle. For the surfing enthusiasts Polzeath is a little further but is a favourite with locals. On the South Cornish Coast there is Looe and Polperro about 25 miles. The weather can vary between the North & South coast depending on wind direction etc so it is always worth consulting the local weather forcast when on holiday. Bodmin Moor with the famous Jamaica Inn is 10 miles and Dartmoor is 15 miles
Special Interest
The South coast, about 25 miles away, has many thriving fishing villages such as Polperro and Mevigissey and lots of tourist attractions including the Monkey Sanctuary at Looe and the Dobwalls Theme Park. Visit the world famous Jamaica Inn and enjoy the unspoilt Bodmin moor with its reservoirs and majestic scenery. The rugged hills and valleys of Dartmoor are just a short drive away, with interesting towns and villages such as Tavistock, Brentor & Lydford, among the places to visit are Lydford Gorge, Morwelham Quay, Roadford Reservoir and Dingles Steam Village.
The world famous Eden project at St Austell (about 45 minutes drive) is one of Cornwall's major tourist attractions. The worlds largest green houses built in a disused clay pit with plants from every type of climate.
Further Details
We are situated 1 mile from Launceston, which has shops selling local produce, some cafes and restaurants, takeaways and several pubs. Plus the ever present Tesco's.
Facilities on Site at Bamham Farm: All 8 cottages are on our farm and share the facilities on site.
Our indoor pool is 36' x 15' and kept at 82 degrees with the pool building at 84 degrees. There is a 9' x 6' paddling pool adjoining the swimming pool and plenty of seats for those who just want to view. In the pool building we have a sauna and a sunbed.
There is a sunbathing area outside with loungers and a picnic table.
The cottages are set in extensive gardens set to lawns and flower beds. We have an area set aside for a football pitch and a sand pit and swing. There is also a boules area and we can supply the boules.
Our well equipped games room has 2 pool tables, table tennis table, table football for the older children and adults and plenty of ride on toys and other playthings for the smaller children.
