Description of Holiday Cottage
Situated in the pretty unspoilt town of Lostwithiel, Wren Cottage is just a few hundred yards from the River Fowey and the town centre with its variety of excellent restaurants and pubs and interesting individual shops.
Lostwithiel is the perfect base for exploring Cornwall. The Eden Project, the beaches of St.Austell Bay, the historic port of Fowey and the rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor are all less than 15 minutes drive away.
Downstairs:
Lounge/dining room: Beamed ceiling, attractive stone fire place, TV and video, CD player.
Kitchen: Smart well equipped pine fitted kitchen with small breakfast bar, electric cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine.
Bathroom: Attractive bathroom with quarry tiled floor, vanity basin and shower.
Upstairs:
Two cottage bedrooms with traditional latch doors: One double, one twin, comfortably furnished, fitted wardrobes.
Outside:
At the rear of the cottage is a pretty, sunny, raised patio garden with garden furniture, barbecue and a useful shed for storing beach gear.

Beaches / Coast
Lostwithiel is the perfect base for exploring all of this beautiful county. The beaches, coves and inlets of St Austell Bay are all close by, where swimming an dwater sports are on offer. And the dramatic Atlantic surfing beaches of North Cornwall are only 30 minutes drive away.

Lostwithiel has an excellent selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs; a small supermarket, butchers,bakery, dairy, pharmacy, post office and two banks; as well as many interesting individual shops selling antiques, books, paintings, ceramics, lace and jewellery - these are all within a short walk of Wren Cottage.
Fishing: The river offers trout and salmon fishing. Sea Angling is available at nearby Fowey, Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey.
Golf: There is an 18 hole golf course on the edge of the town.
Walking: The banks of the Rivers Fowey and Lerryn, the South West Coastal Path, Luxulyan Valley and Bodmin Moor offer plenty of places to enjoy a gentle stroll or a more strenuous walk.
Gardens: The Lostwithiel area has many wonderful gardens to visit: Lanhydrock House, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Boconnoc, Carhaeys Castlte to name but a few
The Eden Project is only 10 minutes drive away.

Lostwithiel nestles in the Fowey valley and is surrounded by lovely wooded countryside. It is a quiet peaceful town with a character all of its own and visitors to the town are guaranteed a very friendly welcome. The town has an excellent selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs; a small supermarket, butchers,bakery, dairy, pharmacy, post office and two banks; as well as many interesting individual shops selling antiques, books, paintings, ceramics, lace and jewellery.
The beautiful Fowey River, spanned by a Mediaeval bridge, runs through the town and this offers excellent fishing and is a haven for birds. The riverside parks are a perfect place to take a stroll and picnic by the water's edge.
