Description of Holiday Cottage

This period cottage has been restored to the highest standard while maintaining its rustic charm. Le Pras has a southerly aspect and is most attractive with open stonework, exposed ceiling beams, shutters and terracotta roof tiles. The ground floor offers a large open plan living area with traditional Charentaise fireplace with wood burning stove. The kitchen area is newly installed to a high standard with oak units, range-style cooker, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. An automatic washing machine is located in the utility area of the attached barn and to the side of the cottage there is a large decking area with barbeque. There is also satellite TV, DVD with assortment of movies. The ground floor bedroom is furnished with twin beds with french doors opening onto the south facing patio. Upstairs is another large bedroom with oak floor and queen size bed. Outside there's an attractive south facing garden (2000sq m) with swimming pool, parasols and sunbeds - a great place to relax.

It is an ideal location for a holiday combining visits to places of interest with sporting activities; the perfect place to hike or ramble, cycle, even ride on horseback. You can canoe down rivers, rock-climb and anglers will find plenty of sport in the tributaries of the Charentes. Just 15 minutes drive to a friendly golf club with tennis and 5 minutes to a bank, post office, supermarket, pharmacy, boulangerie, restaurants and a tourist information office.
