Description of Holiday Villa
Villa Amelia is set in a small complex of villas in the village of Assini with views over the valley to the mountain backdrop. It is just 2 km from the beautiful sandy beaches of Tolo, and a 10 minute car drive from the enchanting old town of Nafplio, famous for its Venetian and neoclassical architecture.
The villa is built on three levels and comprises: the Access level with WC, fully fitted kitchen with door leading to an enclosed courtyard, and spacious living/dining room with sliding doors leading to a large balcony. Stairs lead to the Upper level with 3 double bedrooms (1 en-suite), bathroom and access to a large balcony. Stairs from the Access level lead down to the Pool level. Here is a lovely 35sq m swimming pool surrounded by a stone tiled terrace, garden area and entrance to a separate studio with double bed, bathroom and kitchenette.

Beaches / Coast
The sandy beaches of Tolo are only a few minutes drive away and are offer full facilites such as sun loungers, water sports and cafes close by. The sea is shallow here and very safe for small children. Should you prefer something less developed a short 15 minute drive down the coast leads you to Vivari beach. This is a shingle beach with deeper waters. It is only accessible by car so attracts less people and less children. Close to Nafplio is the lovely beach of Carathona. This is a long sandy beach with all facilities. There is no shortage of choice for beaches if you can pull yourself away from the pool!
Further Details
There are many tavernas, some on the beach in Tolo. In Nafplion there are also an abundance of good quality restaurants to choose from. A stroll through the town is essential afterwards, finishing up with a cappuccino in the central square which is buzzing with atmosphere.
Location of Holiday Villa
The Peloponese never fails to surprise us with its abundance of historical sights, natural beauty and clear blue waters. The nearby resort of Tolo offers a perfect location for days of sunbathing and relaxed evenings eating in tavernas set at the edge of the sea. Nafplion, the first capital of Greece, is truly beautiful and needs to be visited several times to discover all the secret corners of this town. The little shops offer many interesting artistic items and a morning spent wandering through the narrow streets is essential. Nafplio also has some lovely tavernas and fish restaurants for al fresco evening dining. Just a short drive away you can find an abundance of historical sights such as the Ancient Theatre of Epidavros, Agamemnon's Tomb at Mycenae, Nafplion's famous castle, etc.

The nearest airport is Athens which is about 160 km from Assini. The journey takes about 2 hours and is not difficult. The trip includes crossing the Corinth Canal
