If you are looking for a holiday away from mass tourism this is a superb location for a relaxing and rejuvenating break. You will be surrounded by clean mountain air and breathtaking scenery; with good weather it is all part of our little piece of paradise.
The retreat offers 6 individually decorated rooms, all non-smoking with spectacular mountain views. Guest rooms are warm and comfortable, set in peaceful surroundings.
All rooms are en-suite and fully heated. Each room has a Mini Bar, colour TV, Video CD/tape player, professional hairdryer,
Tea/coffee facilities, bathrobes and spa slippers.
Shambala retreat is set in 3 acres of land with lots of garden with shaded area under trees. We have our own hens so there is always fresh eggs available.
Shambala Retreat has a 12 x 6 metre swimming pool with a hydromassage. There are plenty of sunloungers around the pool area and also infront of the main house. You will find tables and chairs outside were you can relax with a drink or have lunch.
Our facilities (all on site at shambala Retreat) include: Holistic Health & Beauty centre, Meditation, Reiki Courses, Sauna with Cromotherapy & Music therapy, garden tennis, boules/darts, mountain bikes, board games & cards, sun loungers and a small open air gym.
San Ginesio is a Medieval walled villlage which is a very important centre of "piceno" in the provence of Marcerata.
It has superb panoramic views in addition to its art, history and architecture.
There are plenty of local restaurants, coffee shops/bars & individual shops near by.
Ancona Falconara airport is approx 1hr 15mins by car from us. Pescara is approx 2hrs by car.
f you are without a car we can arrange transport from Ancona airport. We also organise half or full day trips to the Mountains,
Assisi, Shopping trips to the Italian shoe and clothing designer outlets, trips to the coast or tailor make your trips.
We can arrange Hot Air Ballon trips with a bottle of bubbly.

There is a championship golf course near Ancona Approx 1hr 15mins by car. There is a golf driving range 30 minutes away by car.
Skiing Facilities
experience the charm and excitement of the sibillini mountains in the winter. This is an opportunity to do some downhill skiing,
crosscountry skiing or snowboarding amongst the breathtaking veiws of the sibillini mountains.
Marche offers a crowd free winter snow experience with low ski pass prices. weather you are a beginner, intermediate or an expert skier, there are pistes to suit all levels of skiiing.
Beaches / Coast
Civitanova beach resort is 30 minutes away by car from Shambala Retreat and has a pebble beach, lots of excellent fish restaurants and the centre with lots of shops is just 10 minutes walk from the beach.
Porta San Giorgio is 45 minutes away by car, it has a lovely sandy beach with a Marina at the south end with lots of fresh fish restaurants. After a day on the beach you can go and vistit the shops in the centre of Porto San Giorgo.

Shambala Holistic Retreat & Health Spa, this is 'Paradise on Earth' for all our visitors. Reiki & Life Coaching Courses are available and need to be booked in advance.This is an ideal place for people who enjoy walking. We have two lakes nearby were you can have a picnic, do some fishing, canoeing, or just go for a swim in the beautiful clear waters. There is a hang gliding or parasending school near by. You can go Quad biking up the mountains and enjoy the spectacular views. If you like shopping for designer shoes or cloths there are lots of Italian designer outlets in the area. It is an Ideal place if you are looking for a romantic break or a pampering holiday. If you are looking for a holiday were there are no children, Shambala is an ideal place for couples, singles or small groups.

Shambala Retreat is siuated two kilometres outside the medieval walled village of San Ginesio, there are plenty of restaurants, local bars near by, serving authentic local dishes & drinks. You can also dine in our restaurant at Shambala Retreat were we cook international food and cater for any special dietry requirements.
We are based within 15 minutes of Gualdo, Calderola, Sant Angelo in pontano, and the town of Sarnano. The surrounding landscape is known as the "Balcony of the Sybillini" We are surrounded by lots of old churches, castles and fortresses, art, history & architecture. In the summer we have the famous outdoor opera at Macerata & Trotting at montegiorgo. There are also many Medieval events & festivals throughout the year. The Monti Sibillini National Park with its Museum, Abbey, caves, waterfalls, flowers, glacier, sacred and magical areas are wonderful to visit.
We are 25 minutes away from the Ski slopes and 30 minutes from the town of Marcerata & Tolentino.
