Enjoying a beautiful location in the heart of Scotland, Stronvar House offers you a unique self-catering holiday for up to 12 at an affordable price. One private unit comprising the ground and first floors of David Carnegie's major Victorian addition - the front door, entrance hall, main hall, drawing room, dining room, kitchen and main staircase leading to five en-suite bedrooms.
The Drawing Room:-
This quiet room has bay windows overlooking the gardens and mountains to the east and south. . This room contains a "pianola" player piano with a selection of music rolls and a PC with 24/7 Internet connection.
The Dining Room:-
The beautiful and impressive marble fireplace, the thistle cornice and the large picture windows provide the grandeur in this room. The breakfast bar gives you breakfast with a view. The other door in this room leads to the kitchen. This modern kitchen with traditional feel provides you with the facilities to cook for your party. This long room was the servery, where the food was brought up from the kitchen to be finally prepared before serving. The original crockery cupboard has been retained and the fitted kitchen has been built to be sympathetic to this large piece of furniture.
Appliances include electric cooker, washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven and kettles. A tumble dryer is situated in the north tower.
All five bedrooms have en suite facilities, Satellite freeview TV, Clock radios, Hair Dryer and views to the mountains and countryside.;
Outside is a large secluded private garden with access to miles of countryside, mountains and loch.

Our guests sometimes arrange our local village bus company to transport them to Edinburgh and back for a very economical price in a private minibus.
Our nearest Airports are Glasgow (GLA) and Edinburgh (EDI), both are about 60 miles from us.
There is no public transport from Stronvar
