Description of Holiday Villa

Casa Miranda is a large, spacious country house set amongst olive and almond orchards with breathtaking views of distant hills. It is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of the El Torcal National Park, and is easily reached within an hour from Malaga.
The house has a private pool; six bedrooms that comfortably sleeps twelve people; a beautiful walled courtyard garden; and patios and terraces around the house - it is ideal for two families sharing.

Within five minutes drive is the small hamlet of Pastelero with a shop, and two bar/ restaurants. The house was previously owned by the writer Miranda Innes, whose successful book “Getting to Manaña” describes the restoration of the house and her life in Spain.
Rural Andalucia, the mountains of Malaga, countryside where patchworks of fields sit among the almond & olive groves & great jagged peaks of naked rock tower over the white villages & the casas tumble like suger cubes down the sides of the hills.
This is the location of your chosen holiday destination, where the Pastelero ventas [bar/restaraunts] will serve you with local cuisine & fine rioja sitting on the terrace or present you with a T-Bone steak falling over the edges of the plate in air-conditioned comfort,
Its where you are able to sit on the terrace outside your summer kitchen whilst the Sardines or Gambas cook on the bar-b-que & watch the birds of prey soar silently overhead & listen to the tinkle of goat bells.

All linen & towels are supplied & changed weekly, cleaning service is provided before & after your holiday & these are all inclusive in the price
Set in the countryside among the almond and olive groves with ever changing colours of wheat, anis & other crops. The views stretch for miles into the distance to El Chorro & El Torcal.

Golf is available at Golf Antequera some 25 km away. The costs in summer are about half the price of the costa courses

The villas are situated just outside the pretty barrida”hamlet” of Pastelero & St Maria del Cerro which is about 5 kms from Villanueva de la Concepcion to the North East & Almogia to the South West.Our nearest towns are Villanueva de la Concepcion & Almogia, typical Andalucian ‘pueblos’. There you will be able to buy most of your holiday needs. They have numerous small supermarkets, two banks, a pharmacy, a surgery, 24hr Ambulance & several bar/restaurants.

Villaneueva is overlooked by El Torcal, a massive limestone outcrop. Follow the marked walk where not only will you be captivated by the strange and beautiful rock formations but you may also see eagles, buzzards and vultures.
A few kilomtres further on, the other side of El Torcal, lies Antequera. When the Romans discovered it, it was already 1000 years old. Stop for a drink on the terrace of the Mirador bar on the road into the city.
