Description of Holiday Villa
Built in 2003, Lakeview Mansions is a development of 100 detached Spanish designed luxury villas in a countryside location ideal for guests who want to be away from the busy towns and cities but close enough to all amenities. The villas have been built on a side of a small mountain with beautiful views of the countryside, lakes and the sea. The nearest village is Torremendo and the closest town of San Miguel de Salinas is a five minute drive with Torrevieja a 15 minutes by car. The villa can be reached from Alicante International Airport (45 minutes) airport of Murcia.
The villa is finished and equipped to a very high standard. The property sleeps up to 10 and there are 3 double bedrooms fitted with antique pine wardrobes and all are en-suite with 2 including walk-in showers with the third having a full size bath and mixer shower, whereas, the 2 twin bedrooms share the 4th bathroom including a walk-in shower.
This villa is constructed on 3 floors and can be accessed from the first and ground floors. The front main entrance is on the first floor incorporating a semi-circular front terrace with roman pillars. The ground floor is accessed by either the internal staircase or external door at the rear of the villa. Both external doors and all windows are protected with security grills. The windows are double glazed complete with roller shutters.
The kitchen and a lounge/dining area are on the first floor with a separate lounge on the ground floor. Both lounges have a T.V. one with cable and the other with a DVD. Both lounges have air conditioning/heating units and ceiling fans. The kitchen is complete with fitted units,oven/hob, microwave oven, fridge, etc. with the automatic washing machine situated in a utility area adjacent to the kitchen.
There is a roof solarium complete with barbeque area and a Roman style 8' x 4' metre pool with shower.
The villa may not be suitable for elderly guests with walking difficulties. A car is essential for this rental.
Golf Facilities
Torrevieja and its surroundings are a paradise for golf players. There are several excellent golf courses, such as Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, La Marquesa and La Manga, in the area. Torrevieja is surrounded by five first class 18-hole golf courses Villamartin, Campoamor, Las Ramblas, Ciudad Quesada and Algorfa, all within 15 minutes drive from the Villa.
Beaches / Coast
All beaches in this region are fine sand with the nearest, La Zenia, a 15 minute drive away. There are actually two separate beaches at La Zenia but only one of these has a beach bar and sun beds and parasols for hire, although, not too numerous. You will be advised to take beds and parasols from the villa. La Zenia has more than one restaurant/bar off the beach and one of these has a pool that can be used for a nominal fee. This beach is recommended for a visit. Taking the walkway around the cliffs brings you to Cabo Roig. This beach can also be accessed by car. There are/were no beach bar facilities last time visited (October 2002). There are other beaches at, e.g. Torrevieja, El Mojon, Javier and La Mata.
Further Details
The village of Torremendo has a few bars and restaurants. There are also bars and restaurants in San Miguel and Los Montesinos and many along the N332 road to Torrevieja.
For shopping , night life, bars, tapas and restaurants Torrevieja is a must.
