Description of Holiday Villa
The bungalow has one bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, fridge, oven & hob, microwave.
La Marina is a great location for families and couples alike. There are lots of bars, restaurants, shops, banks, supermarkets all within 5 minutes walking distance of the property. The La Marina Sports Complex is also a 5 minute walk away and has a large swimming pool with children’s pool and has evening entertainment. There are lots of different types of cuisine available, I.e. Chinese, Indian, Italian, Spanish Paella & Tapas, Steak, and of course good old fish and chips, all very reasonably priced. The beautiful “Blue Flag” beaches of La Marina are a 5 minute drive away and is easily accessible by local transport. For those who enjoy a walk, it takes about an hour to walk to the beach.
There are lovely surrounding towns in the area. Santa Pola and Guardamar are Spanish towns which hold weekly markets and have some really nice restaurants. Elche is the Palm Tree Capital of Europe and is a city which is great for shopping and sightseeing. Torrevieja is 20 minutes away and here you can find the water parks, marina, funfair, shops and it has lively nightlife and a casino. The Rio Safari Park is a 15 minute drive away and great for a day out. Go-karting is also available in the area. The Island of Tabarca is reached by ferry from Guardamar or Santa Pola and is a great day out for snorkling.
Alicante is 20 minutes away and this is a must for people who love shopping. There is also a lively port and every type of cuisine is catered for.
A car is not an absolute necessity for your stay here in La Marina. Alicante Airport is 20 minutes car ride away and transfers are available to and from the airport. Murcia Airport is 45 minutes away, and again transfers from the airport are available.
La Marina is a great location for a great value for money holiday for families and couples alike.
Golf Facilities
There are several local championship golf courses. Located near the towns of Algorfa and Oriheula, are the two “sister” golf courses at Villamartin and Las Ramblas. There are also several other golf courses in the area such as Campomar and famous La Manga Golf Resort is only a 60 minute drive away. La Finca features the number one championship golf course on the Costa Blanca and this is planned to be a future Spanish Open and Ryder Cup venue.
Beaches / Coast
The "Blue Flag" beaches of La Marina are 5 minutes drive away. There are plenty of sunbeds, a restaurant and beach huts serving snacks and drinks. One of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca. It is possible to walk to the beach and takes approximately 1 hour. Transport can be arranged and local buses are available.
Disabled Access
The property is suitable for wheelchair access. However there is a bath with an overhead shower and assisting would be required. It is possible to park your car at the front of the house so there is no walking distance.
