Covered with colourful flowers all year round,Gundogan means the Sunrise.It is an important town for fishing,sponge diving & olive & tangerine growing. Situated among tangerine, olive & pine trees, intimate restaurants & cafes built on jetties circle the Bay offering traditional Turkish cuisine. Across the Bay is 'Rabbit Island' which has an old Greek church & remains of a Byzantine monastic settlement dated to the 9th Century A.D History,dramatic landscape & an unspoilt Bay and friendly people await you! There is a small harbour with fishing boats,yachts & gullets & a sailing school offering dingy sailing,windsurfing, jetskis & waterskiing.

ROMANCE - The apt is suited for couples as it is secluded, quaint and in a quiet area with wonderful sea views of the Bay.Gundogan is an unspoilt area of the Bodrum Peninsula, with intimate restaurants around the Bay.Wonderful sunsets can be seen from the balcony whilst sipping a glass of wine. If you want louder nightlife then a trip to Bodrum or Gumbet would be ideal.There is a walk in shower for 2 people! There are trips to the greek islands of Kos and Rhodes from Bodrum. The Black Island is also just opposite the town where you can have a mud spa!
HISTORY -Bodrum castle houses lots of history to include a torture room,a cistern,Turkish baths and 14 skeletons with heavy iron chains shackled to their ankles. One of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World, the Mausoleum is in Bodrum.There is the Museum of Underwater Archaeology in the castle with restored shipwrecks including the precious cargo of a 3,500 yr old shipwreck.This museum also has the oldest chess set found in the world!

Located in the wonderful small town called Gundogan on the Bodrum Penisula. The apartment is very central and only a 5 min walk to the sea and town centre. The apartment is in a truely wonderful location, very quiet and tranquil. With the unspoilt sea views that are simply beathtaking! The setting is in a lovely well maintained private quaint and exclusive development, peace and quiet are the name of the game here. Turkey at its best
Directions to Holiday Apartment
Nearest airport is Bodrum which is 40km away.
DIRECTIONS FROM BODRUM AIRPORT TO GUNDOGAN
Take the D330 signposted Bodrum as you leave the airport road.
Follow this road for 30 km.
You will then come to a round about, with Yalikavak, Torba and Gundogan signposted on your right.
Turn right here.
Follow the road through Torba
Passed the turning for Golkoy and Turkbuku
Gundogan will be signposted.
After a total of approx 15 km you will come to the outskirts of Gundogan.
There is a turning to Gundogan on your right do not take this one.
Follow the road for approx 500/750 m. There is a second turning for Gundogan, with a very large sign for the Baia Hotel. Turn right here.
