The ultimate retreat, this villa would suit the more discerning holidaymaker who prefers a quieter home to come back to at the end of the day. Here you will enjoy the utmost peace and tranquility and a quiet pace of life. Leave all the stresses and strains behind you as you relax and soak up the sun, recharging your batteries with only the sound of cowbells and a braying donkey in the distance to disturb you.

Lounge: 2 comfortable sofas which convert into beds, TV/DVD. Step through the french doors onto the terrace overlooking the pool.

Dining Room: Seats 8 people and overlooks fields and woods. If you can't be bothered to cook, just phone the local restaurant and he will be happy to deliver.

Kitchen: If you enjoy cooking, you will find everything you need with plenty of cutlery, crockery and utensils to prepare a gourmet meal. You only have to supply the ingredients which you can buy from the local village. (Friday is market day).

Bedrooms: All air conditioned and have balconies overlooking the surrounding countryside. Plenty of wardrobe / drawer space and bedside lamps. The double bedroom has an en suite shower room.

Bathrooms: Bathroom with bath & shower on the 1st floor and a shower room on the ground floor, ideal for larger groups.

The private landscaped garden with pool is perfect for al fresco living, whether it be sitting on the terrace eating breakfast, relaxing over a leisurely lunch with your favourite bottle of wine, lounging on a sunbed at the side of the pool with an ice cold drink and a good book or taking a dip in the pool to cool off.

As the sun goes down - Villa Aysun takes on a magical atmosphere with the illuminated pool and outdoor lights. Why not fire up the BBQ and enjoy a relaxing (or lively) evening.

Beaches / Coast

Calis Beach, famous for its glorious sunsets and an abundance of restaurants to choose from along the promenade.

Oludeniz is a stunning bay with a laid-back atmosphere and one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey. Its lagoon, now a protected area, has adorned a million picture postcards and the main beach is bordered by an attractive promenade lined with small shops, cafes and restaurants.

It is well worth setting aside a full day to visit Patara where you can enjoy the beautiful 12 miles long sandy beach with dramatic dunes, backed by oleander trees and explore the interesting ruins of the theatre, triple-arched triumphal gate, cemetery with Lycian tombs, a ruined basilica and public bath among others.

There are many more beaches around the bay and it is well worth taking a boat trip to visit them.

Further Details

Fethiye is a lively cosmopolitan town where you can buy everything from herbs to "designer" clothes, rugs, hand-crafted jewellery and, of course, the famous Turkish Delight. In the evenings Fethiye town centre is bustling with people and nightlife is lively and entertaining, with many bars, clubs and restaurants catering to the tourists' needs.

A cool refuge on hot summer days, Saklikent Gorge is a favourite picnic spot where rustic restaurants overhanging the river, serve delicious fresh trout and other local delicacies. For the more adventurous, go tubing down the river.

Gocek, a very pretty harbour town, is a desirable destination for yachtsmen and a popular stopping place for gullet cruises. Why not take a boat trip to Gocek on a Sunday when the market is on, and relax at one of the harbour-side cafes

Tlos is steeped in history and is well worth a visit. It is one of the oldest and largest settlements of Lycia and was inhabited until the 19th century by Turks.

Location of Holiday Villa

Uzumlu is about 20 minutes drive from Fethiye and is a traditional and authentic Turkish village, unspoilt by modernisation. If you plan to visit different places every day and want to go into the livelier towns such as Fethiye and Hisaronu at night we would recommend hiring a car. If you are happy to stay local then car hire is not necessary as for the odd trip into town, you can catch the dolmus or take a taxi. Alternatively, some of our guests hire a car for part of their holiday.

Directions to Holiday Villa

The nearest airport is Dalaman (40/50 minutes transfer time), accessible from most UK and European airports between end of March and end of October.

During the winter months you can fly to Istanbul then catch an internal flight to Dalaman. Alternatively you can fly to Antalya - the transfer time will be about 4 hours but the breathtaking scenery will be well worth the trip. Transfers can be arranged if required.
